We bought this a few months ago. Received it pretty fast. Had one before. Lasted a long time. Has a lot of cooking area. Love it.

Poor Non-Stick Coating

I am quite surprised by the high rating that this griddle has received mainly because the non-stick coating hardly deserves the name. Eggs and pancake batter stick to it badly in spite of me giving it a spray of Pam. The cook plate goes into the dishwasher but the dishwasher doesn't have a hope of removing the burned on gunk.
Regrading the rest of the unit, it is constructed of light gauge pressed sheet metal and seems pretty cheap and tinny.
I wish I had my old griddle back! It was ugly and heavy but was much better quality overall.
No, I do not recommend this product.

All of our products including this Oster Non-Stick Electric Griddle use a non-stick coating that is not Dupont Teflon. Our non-stick coating is safe when used for cooking. Q: Why is the old model being advertised online and in the flyer, when the new folding model is the only one available? I was quite disappointed when we went to purchase this item, only to find out its a foldup model with a smaller cooking surface.Why is Canadian Tire still advertising the old model 2 years later?

Q: Is this griddle the new fold up style or can the old style still be purchased? I went to buy the griddle this morning and apparently they've changed the style to a fold up. It's not nearly as nice...or as big a cooking surface.
