not an oriole feeder

Bought a couple of these last spring...cheap knock off of the perky pet oriole feeder

Shatter proof!!!??? NOT!!!

First the Orioles did not care for this feeder at all. They prefer a platform to a perch. And it's so hard to clean and all the ants get in it. But the worst was today I was trying clean it. Dropped it on the deck and it smashed in pieces. They say its shatter proof. Not impressed!!!!!

Great for Hummer useless for Orioles

We bought this mainly for orioles but they could not use it as the perches and the feeder holes are too small. Our hummers loved it but we already had feeders for them. In the end, if you want to use it for orioles you have to remove the yellow flower petals which just makes it easy for bees to get in and drown. I give it credit for not leaking but it's better to invest in a better model from a more trusted bird feeder manufacturer.

Orioles live it, but it is flimsy

We have been using this particular feeder for years. We have tried others, but this is the orioles' fave. Right now, we have 2 on the feeder, with 2 more waiting! The bad news is, they are cheaply constructed, and few make it through more than 2 summers. We use the broken ones for spare parts.

Not the same as the picture.

I ordered on-line and it is nothing like the picture. It is more suitable as a hummingbird feeder. The perches are small and thin plastic, not suitable for orioles and the holes for drinking are too small for their beaks.
