OEM Brake Fluid DOT 4 is a specially compounded preparation designed expressly for use where DOT 4 motor brake fluid is recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. This fluid was developed for use in European vehicles including BMW, MB, VW/Audi, Porsche, Saab, Volvo, Jaguar, Mini, Peugeot, and others. It is compatible with factory-fill and all other DOT 4 rated brake fluids and meets or exceeds Federal Standard CMVSS-116 & SAE J1704. It may replace or be used with brake fluids graded DOT 3 and DOT 4 and has a wet ERBP 155ºC (311ºF) Min.

Q: What is the color of this Oem dot 4 brake fluid.. good for BMW e46 325i?
4 years agoA: It is a clear fluid like the vast majority of brake fluid. If the fluid in your master cylinder has some colour to it it’s likely old dirty and discoloured. Most VW, BMW, and Benz call for DOT4 fluid and this fluid will work fine... read the small writing on your master cylinder cap it likely says dot4 fluid only

Q: Since this is "Specially Formulated for European Vehicles" and it has the same specifications as the one that is "Specially Formulated for Asian Vehicles"...what is it that makes it Specially Formulated?

Q: I've looked at both the OEM Asian and OEM European DOT 4 brake fluid bottles and the specification on the back of the bottles are EXACTLY the same. So how exactly are these products "formulated expressly" for an Asian or European car?
6 years agoA: The fact that both product have similar call outs is not indicative that the formula inside the bottle is the same. All it means is both products meet these same Federal Standards.
