Cheapest Wood Screws We've Ever Seen

Today we were installing this fan and the manual was confusing as it is based on several different fans. So, parts of the manual didn't really apply to our fan. Parts were put together and we had to figure out that a part we needed was already screwed to the wrong part, because that's how it came. Then, as we were installing it the screws stripped on basically the first few turns. We had to buy a new cross piece, because we couldn't get the screw to come out. Despite the fan seeming to look nice; it is totally cheap quality and not worth the money.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Can this fan be mounted as a hugger?

  • A: No, it can't. But I see no reason you can't shorten the drop tube with a hacksaw (wires removed). Just make sure you remove any sharp edges (Important) ; so as not to damage the wiring.

Q: How to change the bulbs Looking for step by step instructikns

  • A: The CT Team did not answer the question. The glass shade first needs to go off and that's hard, I haven't figured it out. I tried turning it counter clock wise but next the fan starts to spin, without the shade coming off.

  • A: Thank you for your reply but the unit doesn't shake. The section that the blades are attached to has a slight shake but it makes the most annoying sound. I had a CT installer come put in up. CT says I have to go through the manufacturer to fix it. So disappointing since I paid so much for their service.

Q: needing a down rod that is for vaulted ceilings? Is there one that is compatible?

2 Answers
  • A: Calling the number provided will not help you get the required rod. They do not sell a longer rod, and they don't know whether those available from the big box guys (who do have a wide selection in-store for their own products) will fit the NOMA product.
