Great but needed reset first

Works great for my Christmas tree light. The instruction paper has NO figures so you have to guess which button is which. And mine needed a factory reset to start the display after charged for one night.

A: The problem is there are two different timer models and two different timer model numbers and at some point in time they were swapped. I have a 052-8814-2 but this is now a 052-8867-6. And the 052-8867-6 as sketched in the User Manual (PDF) above is now a 052-8814-2. Q: My timer has 20 programs - but how to delete them after they're programmed? Or a way to reset the timer to factory setting so i can start programming again? Thanks in advance for the clarification.

A: Choose the program you want to delete then press the "RST-RCL". If you want to reset to default factory settings press the "R" (reset) button that's next to "RST-RCL".

Q: This Noma timer advertised and "random" mode, dont see anything in the instructions?

A: There are I believe 20 programmable bracket random modes) for the timer. I have only used two programs one for evening say 7 PM when it starts getting dark until 11:15 PM and the other goes in the morning before sunrise say 6 AM until 7:30 AM. Hit Program one enter in start time and then hit program again for the end time then click program again to get into program number two and repeat. Hope this helps

Q: Just to confirm before I buy it, with the back up battery, if the power goes off, the programmes AND time are saved and when the power goes back on the timer will resume its same programmes at the correct time of day? Thanks.

A: My experience has been that after a power interruption I have not had to adjust the time or change the settings. Great timer.

A: This timer moves a standard switch, the load current does not pass through it. So the rating is whatever the rating is of the switch you are mounting it on.

A: If you press the on/off, it will toggle through the different settings (on, auto on, off & auto off). Try that

Q: What batteries does this timer take? I know the batteries are the small round, flat, silver ones, but what is the number on them. It doesn't seem to be marked anywhere on the timer and of course the instructions went out a long time ago.

A: Yes because the timer has pre-set 'weekday/weekend' groups. For example, I can set a on/off program (that counts as 2 programs) for 'Mon, Wed, Fri' and another one for 'Tue, Wed, Sat'. You can set up to maximum of 10 or 15 programs (not sure about the #)
