Fourth season installing on the eves of my house and garage without a single problem. Temps to -20C. Up in September for Halloween and down in April after Easter. Love that I can cover three holidays with one trip up the ladder. Only complaint is that some of the colors are not true with white appearing icy blue and yellow lime green.

Firs things first, whomever the human being is that decided other humans should have to deal with these three wired light strands, I hope that person gets nothing but a greasy black banana peel for Christmas. They’re an awful, corporate greed motivated, customer hating, grinch and they deserve nothing but frustration under their tree. The 3 wire strand system was almost enough to have me returning them. Second, voice command? Useless. Stop wasting time developing c r a p that customers don’t need when you have a clear, and present annoyance for those customers. Solve the 3 wire issue. Learn to walk before you run. Third, the box says 24’6”. I stretched the absolute heck out of mine and could not get it past 21’8”. So basically 3’ shorter than advertised. Trash thing to find out when you think you’ve bought the lengths you need. Again, probably an issue with these d u m b 3 wire strand systems. Just another example of big companies not listening or considering what their customers actually need and putting their greed front and centre. If I could give this product a -5star review I would. Canadian Tire should be ashamed of themselves for hocking such a tragic effort at a product.

Don’t buy!!!

This product is garbage! I you want to warranty this product every year than this product is for you. I bought 6 of these and I warranty 4 sets last year and this year all of them have a problem. Called Noma and told them the situation and they told me that once a warranty them once my warranty is void even their has a 3 year warranty.
Canadian tire doesn’t stand by hide their own product and they own Noma. So stay away from Noma products
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: I know you're not SUPPOSED to leave these lights out all year round, but has anyone actually done that and noticed any issues? Would be so nice to have these up for Halloween, Christmas, and the summer too on a warm white/yellow

A: We bought ours two years ago and left them out year round. Around the 22 month mark, when we went to customize them for Halloween, we found two out of three strands malfunctioning. They show up in the app and we can change the theme/colours, but on those strands only 4 or 5 lights come on. It was nice to have them out with different colours for holidays, NHL playoff runs, birthdays, etc. But the reliability is horrible.

Q: What light clip is recommended for these lights? Would the Noma Quick-Clip C9 clips work with these lights?

A: The Noma C9 quick clips do not work with the smart bulbs. The universal or all-in-one do work but don't grip tightly.

Q: Where should the wifi receiver box be placed (the box on the end of the light string)? Does it need to be protected from the rain/snow, or can it be placed in the eaves trough?

Q: I'm really enjoying these Noma advanced smart lights (have 17 of them!). I've played around with making custom themes, but was wondering if there is a library of user-made themes or if Noma is planning on offering additional ones?

A: Great question. I was wondering myself if there is a library of custom themes. The basic themes that come with the advanced lights are great but having a larger variety would be appreciated. If Noma or anyone knows of more themes it would be appreciated.

Q: Can I use just one hub for two light strands hooked up separately one strand in front of the house and the other in backyard? Or do I have to buy 2 hubs Both strands will be close enough to hub

A: Yes. I have two separate strands, powered independently, around two separate windows. They are connected to the same hub and both show up in the app.

Q: Are you able to sync a new strand of lights to the previously sync'd strands that are already installed? In the event that you would like to add more strands after you have already run through the initial sync.

A: All of the synchronization happen in the NOMA app. You can add, move, or change the sequence or group with no problem. You must have the new strand synced and appearing in your app and you have to remember which strand is which and you can make them sync up.

Q: Looking to start decorating our cottage with these, do we use the multi coloured or clear bulbs? Meaning…the app controls the colors so why do they sell multi coloured sets?

A: Yes buy the clear set. The lights (led) are multicoloured and the (plastic bulb) is clear And can be set to any colour or configuration you choose.Eg. All red or red and green alternating. If you buy the multicoloured (plastic bulb) ones they are only the colour of the (bulb). I hope that helps.
