Terrible. Don't waste your time/money.

Terrible. Don't waste your time/money. This A/C broke down after a month. Canadian Tire would only offer an exchange...

No, I do not recommend this product.

good Portable A/C unit

bought this unit (10,000btu w/heat pump) last year. This a 2 bdrm apt, so we were looking for a 12,000 or better. does a decent job for where we spend most of the time. easy to put together, hoses fit snug in the adapters to window and A/C. Heat pump.p works great for those day's that you want, just a bit of heat W/O turning the heat on.

Yes, I recommend this product.

DO Not BUY! Horrible

Ok so the product looks sleek and was relatively easy to install. The main issue with this product is it turns off once it reaches the room temp and turns back on. So this could happen 10 times plus per hour unless you put the temperature lower to cool which may be too cold for you. Why isn’t there a way to turn this function off? I called customer support and they said theres no way to turn this off, said it with an attitude as well. I am returning this junk.

Q: Any one know what the E9 error code means? Unit is not cooling.

  • A: Assuming the reset on plug has been done, filter cleaned, setting is for A/C, any collected water has been drained……I would have to say the unit has failed and needs to be replaced.  My owners manual does not even list an Error 9 solution.  If purchased within a year from Cdn Tire, they will probably replace it.  This is not an answer, simply what I researched.

Q: Is there any type of indicator or light that tells you that the eternal water tank needs to be emptied. Also will the unit shut off if full.

  • A: I use mine with the drainage hose attached. It has rarely dripped into the bucket I have next to the unit so the evaporation process must be pretty effective. I'd never operate the unit without the drainage hose attached though.

Q: How do you drain the water from the Noma 3 in 1 portable 10,000 BTU

2 Answers
  • A: There are 2 plugs on the back. You take off the bottom plug and drain the water into a drain, or wherever you want. You can also attach a hose to the plug for draining but you'll need to see what size hose you need. It's a great little A/C unit!

Q: Can anyone tell me what is the capacity of the bucket(s)  that hold the water collected from the unit.

  • A: I have never had to use a bucket when it is on A/C mode.  It all evaporates.  On mine there is a plug at the back that you open to let the water go into a floor drain but ONLY on dehumidifier mode. (don’t really know if there is a bucket inside)
