Napoleon Accu-Probe Pro X Wireless Bluetooth Thermometer

Used this for the first time last evening and it was fantastic. Easy to set up and the app is super efficient and easy to navigate for all demographics. Wanted a rare steak and it produced the perfect steak. Used it again on my wife’s who prefers her medium and it cooked it just how she likes it. Also allows you to monitor from inside which is super cool. The only downside for some people might be the price but for me it lived up to everything and more. Happy Grilling.

Thank you for the opportunity to review the Napoleon Accu-Probe Pro X wireless thermometer. I tested this unit on both a gas BBQ and a pellet smoker, and it performed reliably across the board. The first thing I noticed was its compact and stylish design. It’s sleek enough to leave out without looking clunky, and small enough to store easily with your BBQ gear. Setup was fast and intuitive, with the app connecting seamlessly to my phone. I especially appreciated the long-range Bluetooth connectivity — I was able to monitor temperatures from down by the pool without any signal drops. Battery life is another strong point. After multiple long cooks, including brisket and pork shoulder, the charge was still holding strong. It’s also quite versatile, with accurate readings across a variety of meats — brisket, pork shoulder, poultry — you name it. When comparing readings to a traditional wired thermometer, the Pro X was remarkably accurate, with only a minimal difference in temperature. That gave me a lot of confidence in the readings, especially on longer cooks. Overall, the Napoleon Accu-Probe Pro X is a solid and stylish addition to any BBQ setup. Whether you’re smoking low and slow or grilling quick weeknight meals, it delivers reliable performance with convenience.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I received the Accu-Probe Pro X for free as a member of the Napoleon Tester Team. The Accu-Probe is accurate, easy to use and works great! My technology skills are very limited so I appreciate that the app is much more straight forward than others I have used for wireless meat thermometers. The only issue I came across was when flipping steaks. Like other meat thermometers, it should never make contact with the grill which is tough to do unless you're working with a thicker cut. The app will notify you that the probe is overheating when making contact with the grill. I also had an issue testing the probe on homemade burgers, the probe was too long to be inserted to the required marking without coming through the other end. What would make the probe 5 stars? - Thinner construction for easier insertion - Smaller ambient temperature sensor (head of probe) to help keep it off the grill on cuts less than 2" thick - Offer different lengths for different applications (Or is this just a great excuse to make bigger home made burgers)

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I received this probe from Napoleon free for testing purposes. Both of our barbeques are napoleon and since the wind was up I chose to cook the roast on the lower deck with the older unit using a spit with the rotisserie burner and the meat probe to keep track of temperatures. I followed the instructions to Bluetooth the unit to my i phone. I selected for a prime Rib of Beef done to medium at 140 degrees F. I also programmed and alarm for over cook at 150 degrees F. I set my ambient cooking temperature for 275 degrees F. As it was cooking the unit warned me the probe had backed out and needed to be inserted deeper. This was a good feature. The unit alarmed when I was at the correct ambient Temperature. The next alarm was when the meat was cooked to 140 degrees F. I checked the roast with an external meat probe that I knew to be accurate and the roast was indeed at the correct temperature. This is a very good unit to monitor your cook especially when using a rotisserie as you need to be wireless. If I were in the market to purchase a probe like this the Napoleon would be one of my choices.

The probe and case are well-built and have a high-quality feel; it was easy to insert the probe into food and clean. The connection between the BBQ outside and my device inside was good, and the temperature information was displayed in real-time. There is a cooking graph that displays the temperature trend and target for your interpretation; it does not predict the time until done or suggest a resting period post-cooking.
