Q: Can this be used during a power outage to drain water from a sump pit?
3 years agoA: We wouldn't recommend this MotoMaster Battery Pump for use with a sump pit. It is designed to transfer fluids laterally, from one container to another, and does not have adequate capability to life fluids, as would be required from a sump pit. We would prefer to recommend a battery backup, or pump that generates a vacuum like our MotoMaster Fluid Transfer Pump (CTC #028-3047) or MotoMaster Fluid Extractor (CTC #028-3048) - however the vacuum pumps will still be much slower than a proper battery backup.

Q: can i use this pump to empty a waterbed?
5 years agoA: This MotoMaster Pump is typically used for transferring fluids to/from containers. While we are not experts with water beds, we suspect it would be helpful if the water bed has an open valve that this pump can be inserted in to. If the water bed has a threaded fitting, this pump would not be compatible.

5 years agoA: The factory and plastics for this MotoMaster Battery Operated Pump are not certified/approved for food-grade use. It is intended for fluid transfer applications that are not for human consumption.
