depuis 1 ans jai passer au moin 3 treuil de se model apres avoir ete utiliser 4-5 fois les aimants a l interieur se decolle et le treuil ne fonctionne plus par contre la garantie est bonne chaque fois il me le remplace mais la c assez je vais essayer un autre marque plus cher mais au moin quand j en aurai besoin il devrais fonctionner :(

Problem fixed

If you look the picture, there is a control box between the winch and the switch. This box had relays to permit a small current at the switch thus use of a small switch at low current. I just bought this winch and they got rid of the relays. They now use a heavy duty switch without relays (no control box). Problem sollved

Don't buy this winch

I have had good luck with Motomaster products until I bought this winch. I bought the first 1 hooked it up and it ran steady until I unhooked the battery. So went and exchanged it put it on the counter and there were parts missing. I then got 1 with all the parts and it worked great. I'm at the boat ramp the other day and it messed up, I think they have really bad control boxes and where do you get a new control box it's really hard. I wished I had left this no good product on the shelf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT BUY 1 OF THESE BOAT ANCHORS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Q: Is this winch CSA approved is there a safety regulation for winches in Canada I want to buy a safe winch. From my understanding csa or url approval is necessary on most items

Q: Is this winch suitable to install on a 2005 Ford 150 4x4? Does it come with all required wiring, instructions etc?

A: It comes with instructions and can be mounted on your truck. It is rated at 1361 kg (3000 lbs) on single line. You may want to consider something larger depending on what you will be using it for. Speak with your local Canadian Tire store for more options.

Q: I was told by Canadian Tire that this is the winch I will need for my ATV. Now I see the Q&A stating that this is not a good item for that use. What is going on with the two different replies? It is a Canadian Tire ATV and a Canadian Tire winch, can your products not fit together?
