    Finicky lock

Spotlight charges OK, keeps charge for reasonable time, BUT a few weeks after purchase the LOCK-ON switch works only when you talk nicely to the spotlight, and don't move the light at all.

    Won't take charge

Followed charging instructions EXACTLY & it still failed to take charge after the 4th charge, a year later. Disappointed & will never buy product alike again. This is my 3rd spotlight from CT already. Enough. Not CT's fault. It's manufacturer's fault.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Part number for the AC adapter? My AC adapter is not a 12 volt output. If someone could please list the actual part number for the AC adapter as it is not listed anywhere in the documentation. much appreciated.

    1 Answer
    • A: The model number is : TL-12B, Input: 120V 60Hz, Output: 12V DC 400mA. It is very critical to use the original adapter to charge the spotlight in case of any potential issues.

Q: What is the voltage of the charger?

    1 Answer
    • A: it can use one AC adaptor or one DC adaptor to charge the light. The output for AC adaptor should be 12V 400mA, when the charger plug into the light's Jack to charge the battery, it will take like 15 hours to be full charged. When battery is fully charged, the RED LED indicator will turn green to show user it's full charged.

Q: How long to drain the battery when not in use? I've heard that this type of spotlight discharges in a week or 10 days when left fully charged, which means it would not be effective in an emergency. Can you verify this?

    1 Answer
    • A: Charge it every 3 months to keep maximum performance of the battery.
