The MK 12V 4.5AH SLA Battery is a rechargeable Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) battery with a nominal voltage of 12 and a 20-hour amp hour capacity of 4.5. It uses AGM battery technology and is non-spillable and non-gassing. Ideal for cyclical or standby applications, it can be used in alarms, UPS, electric wheelchairs, trailer breakaway systems, exit signs, emergency lighting systems, booster packs, electric gates, toy ride-on vehicles, medical equipment, telecommunications systems, and more. This battery serves as a replacement for NP5-12, PS-1250 (F1), LC-R125P (DISC), UB1250 and measures 3.5" L X 2.75" W X 4" H.

3 years agoA: Dave - i am sorry i would not know about the SOLEX security system. However the batter you are trying to replace would have some number and information. The number is important in that ALL the batteries for security system would have these numbers and the number is the match one has to look for when replacing the battery. Sorry Dave could not be of much help.

Q: Would this battery be suitable to power a dash cam?
7 years agoA: Canadian Tire Battery Team - your math is a little off. A 4.5Ah (Ampere-hour) battery means that if you draw a constant current of 4.5 amps, the battery will be depleted to a point where it needs to be recharged in 1 hour. However, at 5 watts, you need to calculate the amp draw using the formula P (power in watts) ÷ V (voltage in volts), which in this case is 5 watts ÷ 12 volts, resulting in approximately 0.42 amps. To determine how long the battery will last at this 5-watt load, you should divide the battery's capacity of 4.5Ah by the amp draw of 0.42 amps, which gives you an approximate runtime of about 10.8 hours.

5 years agoA: This is the type of battery of used in a kids ride-on toy. Whether or not this particular model would be suitable for your toy depends on the specifications of your original battery. If your original battery is rated at 12-volts and roughly 4.5 Ah and the battery is dimensionally similar, then it can be used. In other words, check your original battery for voltage rating (6 or 12), amp hour rating and dimensions and choose an SLA battery that best matches.
