Miele C3 Complete Hardfloor Canister Vacuum

This vacuum is ACTUALLY made in Germany and designed for the high demands of the German market. Everything feels solid and parts fit together with a deep solid thunk. I bought the hepa filter form amazon and installed it to make the machine into an air purifier. The air in my living space fell COMPLETELY different after using the vacuum. I'm a new Miele convert. I attached 2 luggage straps to the handle and secured them to the bottom castors with a length of string to make the canister into a backpack vacuum. It's my preference for hands free cleaning.

There are a lot of great things I like about this vacuum, but there are some reasons why it just doesn’t work for my household.  The pros are it’s so easy to maneuver around and the telescopic handle makes it great so you aren’t haunched over running it around your house.  This has to be the quietest vacuum I have ever had the pleasure of using. Even on the loudest setting you can still have a conversation.  It was amazing for getting the pet hair off of the furniture, worked even better than the vacuum I have specific to pet hair and dander. My reasons why I would t run out and buy this are the bags. I understand that they hold on the dust and pet dander much better than a canister that you empty, but in today’s day and age where we should be concerned about the environment I just can’t bring myself to using the bag once and throwing the entire thing in a landfill.  My second reason for why it isn’t my favourite vacuum- again the bags. I live in a house with a dirty gravel driveway, 2 large hairy dogs a cat, a bunny and a toddler. This alone is going to bring the cost of running this vacuum to double just in the replacement bags and filters. It’s a lot of mess and those little bags just don’t seem to cut it for my zoo.

The vacuum has a return plug that works seamlessly and 6 different levels of suction; including a “quiet” function. It also has a handle that turns the vacuum head with the turn of your wrist, this makes it much less of a burden when getting under furniture and around table legs and such. Highly recommend.
