Product Details

When it comes to safe, smooth driving, trust the Michelin Defender 2 Tire. This all-season tire has been rigorously tested for both safety and longevity, proving more durable than comparable tire models with a tread life 25,000 miles longer. On average, that’s another two years of tread life you’ll enjoy. And like all Michelin tires, the Defender 2 tire is engineered for safety and control, so you can drive easy knowing these tires will help keep your vehicle safe.

Mud And Snow Rated

The M+S symbol differentiates an All-Season tire from a Summer only tire. While rated for light snow, they will not match a winter tire for traction or stopping distance on snow and ice.

Product is Very Good - Sales & Service...hmmmm

The tires seem very nice. The ride is good and handling seems very responsive. Against my better judgement I purchased them through Canadian Tire. They never seem to disappoint my expected disappointment. At no time did anyone at the store (Niagara Falls) mention tire warranty, replacement, roadside assistance, expected life nothing and I mean nothing. All they tried to do is sell me a full frontend replacement complete with quotes and pressure to make an appointment. When that didn't work the guy behind the counter tried to tell that both my license plate lights had burned out and for $59.95 they could just "pop" them in for me. I said it was odd that both burned out at the same time was met with a shrug. I said I would put them in myself, and he then proceeded to tell me that they were sold out if I wanted to buy them. While I was wondering how he was going to "pop" them in he retrieved them from the parts area and I purchased them. I was on my way with the only instruction to come back in 100km and they will re-torque the wheels. The next day I went to install the lights to find to my surprise that my license plates were not burned out like he said. From there my TPMS system told me the tires had in excess of 10lbs the recommended tire pressure when cold. Rounding out the trifecta here I checked the torque on the lug nuts and best I can determine they were set at about 110 ft lbs. clearly above the recommended factory setting of 83 ft lbs. I mean that can't get the basics right, try and sell you unnecessary parts so why would put any stock in an estimate of maybe ball joints, tie rod ends, etc. I had to drive in the next day to return the lights. Thanks for wasting my time and money. I have been a customer of CTC for many years, but I would not and will not frequent their service department in the future under any circumstances. Additionally, I would never feel comfortable recommending to anyone.
