the motor is no good have gone through 4 of them in the last 6 months

Disappointing

Keeping in mind that I purchased this on sale, I'm sure it's worth what I paid. However the motor on the saw is completely gutless! By the time you have enough downward pressure that the abrasive blade is actually working (not just skipping along the surface) the motor bogs down. If you are only planing on cutting material that's around 0.125" you should be ok, otherwise save your pennies and get something beefier. Overall build quality is only ok, the base is a bit flimsy and the blade guard needed a couple of washers to stabilize it.
No, I do not recommend this product.
