I am a family man from Saskatchewan, just writing an honest review. Easy to assemble, solid shelving unit. I am only using 3 of the 4 shelves. On the bottom 2 shelves, I am storing 16 tires, 8 tires per level. The top I have buns. This shelf can easily handle it. I am most likely purchasing another one for the garage.

Q: Can the shelves be moved or removed without it affecting the sturdiness of the unit?

A: I don't see why not. You'll need (recommended at least) a soft mallet during assembly. I assembled mine on level ground and had to shift them for some rennos, still just as sturdy as the day they were originally assembled.

Q: Is there a way to level this unit. My garage floor is slightly sloped

A: I have 4 of these shelves that I put on gravel floor. My floor also sloped but its gravel so its hard to get level. I used a simple fix and put a piece of 2 x 4 under one end. If you don't need this much just get a thinner piece. The shelf is heavy enough to keep the wood in place. I would never buy those cheap plastic shelves again. I use mine to put truck parts on. LOve my shelves.

A: You are correct but the old model (black) had a depth of 25inches, which makes it not backwards compatible
