Product not intuitive and no instructions

I agree with the previous review. The forceps are locking and the unlocking step is not intuitive. Despite this, the product comes with absolutely no instructions.
This also applies to the lanyard. The cord is too short to go over your head, there's nothing on the forceps to attach the forceps to and no instructions to suggest the intended lanyard attachment or wearing for the forceps. I bought this product because it was the only one in the store with a lanyard and cannot determine the manufacturer's intended use.
Finally, as the previous review indicated, the forceps are sticky. I'm strongly considering returning them.

Unlocking was a mystery

Purchased these forceps for removing fishing hooks. Could not figure out how to unlock so they are usable - there are NO instructions anywhere on the packaging or inside the packaging. Finally went to the internet and found instructions for a similar product by a different manufacturer and managed to get them open (squeeze handle and lift the side without the finger brace). Strongly suggest that you recommend updated packaging from the manufacturer as these forcepts were 30 seconds from being returned to the store! Forceps are also very stiff.
No, I do not recommend this product.
