Pivoting Heat Helpful

I just bought the smaller 2AA version on sale this weekend and can confirm it works great. I was looking at others but wanted one that works on AA batteries as I don't want to have to worry about having different sizes in an emergency. This fit the bill particularly as the head pivots. Also, it can stand up but you do have to be careful not to knock it over as the base is not overly large. It is a great buy for the price!

NOT worth carrying home!

Purchased the 2x"AA" model a few days ago, and right off the bat, it doesn't work. Tried it with several brands of rechargeable and regular alkaline batteries, all of which my battery tester reported at 80-100% power. Then I noticed there was no visible power connection to the pivoting head. I am very disappointed in this product, especially in light of the many detailed 5-star reviews this product received. I don't know if this is just a defective unit, but I am disappointed to bring something home that is already defunct.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: How to replace bulb? I have had this flashlight for a couple of years now and it works great. But the bulb has just died. Can I replace the bulb? How do I open the pivot head to do that?

A: At the top of the page , if you click on the "green" button that says " select style size", you get 2 options , 4-AA or 2-AA, so i would assume you can choose which one you like. :)
