I used this to clamp draw inserts made of 3/4" wood. You do have to play a bit to make sure that both pieces of wood continue to stay in place as there are two handles to tighten. Once you get the hang of that, no issue. I glued and then power nailed the corners.

weak mechanism

I bought one and have used it a few times to hold corners. The part that engages the threaded rod to tighten is very weak and stripped out after 3 or 4 uses. It was handy for the few uses it got, but needs a serious change in materials.

90 Degree Angle not square

This product clamps well enough however the angle on the one I bought is not square and I did a whole project where I used this a lot only to find out at the end that everything was off by the same angle direction. I thought it was my saw but after confirming it was fine I realised it was the clamp. Disappointing since this clamp was more expensive than the other one on offer.

  • A: There is bracing in the middle of the 2 clamps, while you can't clamp together, you can use the brace as the 45 and clamp it to your table and the latter piece in your clamp.
