    Very bad quality - avoid

They heat up very very quickly I wanted to enlarge a hole in a metal sheet, the bit jammed and stuck inside the hole.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought this product a few weeks ago for $6.24 plus tax. The bits seem to be holding up okay. I have not snapped or sharpened any yet. (knock on wood) The only problem i have is with the case the bits are stored in. The latch that locks the case popped right off after only opening and closing it a couple of times. Now the latch won't stay on after i open it. Annoying.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Bought this set on sale. I picked this set because of it was on sale and the box looks great. The construction of the box surely is feels much stronger than those metal boxes in the stores. (No Bits missing) These drills worked great for me and got through both of my projects.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Not even worth the sale price

This set of drillbits is just bad. The black oxide coating may prevent rusting, I dont know. None of the drill bits that I used from this set survived long enough to rust. I was pilot drilling screw holes in hard wood and snapped 4 bits all within about 10 seconds of starting the hole. Dont expect any higher performance than with HSS bits. Buy makita or dewalt bits and save yourself a headache.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Questions

    1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: What are these bits used for? i.e Wood, Steel

    1 Answer
    • A: Black oxide high speed drill bits are designed for drilling into steel, aluminum, copper, wood and plastics. When drilling into thick steel over ¼”, it is recommended that a cutting lubricant is used to cool the drilling process. These are not to be used on concrete or cement.
