If still in the plastic be sure to check the bottom cross brace as mine was damaged and not realized until after getting home.
The top tool tray is adequate for tool storage on small jobs and comes with a large removable magnet which assists in securing tools and has two aluminum hooks to hang paint cans etc.
The rails holding the tool tray are very sturdy and provide a very stable handhold. If you compare to a standard step ladder, this unit is safer to use.
The steps are large and lower three made from aluminum with a very large platformed plastic top step. The large steps prevent fatigue when standing for along time compared to other products I've used.
Aluminum construction is solid with plastic feet and the unit folds easily for storage or to hang.
The cross member is a small rod and not as durable as the one on the 3' model.
