problème d'élément

Fonctionnait bien au début. Après environ 6 mois, la cuisson à Low a cessé de fonctionner. Depuis quelques semaines, la cuisson à High fonctionne par intermittence. Plusieurs repas perdus, décevant.

Quit after less than a year

Stopped working with less than a year of use. Same as other reviews, went to use it and the screen was rapidly flashing no way to fix it. I don't recommend any crock pot with a digital screen just asking for problems.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Dead within 2 Weeks

I bought this slow cooker 2 weeks ago to replace my slow cooker of 3 years. I killed it within 2 weeks of using it. It cooked an entire meal all day, then when i went to check it, the screen was rapidly flashing and would not respond to my input to put it back on warm/heat. DO NOT BUY. If it cant last 2 weeks, it isn't worth your money

No, I do not recommend this product.

Questions

Q: Is the lid supposed to fit more snugly? Ours doesn’t seem to lie flat, and there are substantial gaps around edges. I’m concerned our lid might be warped.

  • A: The lid on mine fits quite securely so I would take yours back for replacement

Q: The time is really off? I set it for 4 hours and then it cooked for only 3:20. Then I tested with 30 minutes and also timed it. The slow cooker quit while there were still 5 mins left on the clock? Am i doing something wrong?

2 Answers
  • A: I thought it was just a glitch with my own cooker! I've been having the same problem - set it for 3 hours at 1:30 (for example) and at 2:30 it tells me I have an hour left. Luckily, I work from home and can adjust the time as needed, but if I didn't, this would be a problem.

Q: Does this slow cooker automatically go to warm after the cook time? Asking as I want to leave it on and go to work.

2 Answers
  • A: Yes, it automatically switches to the Warm setting once the cook time has finished, but it's timed to last for only 3 hours.

Q: Can you set a delayed time? For example, load everything into the cooker and program that in 30 minutes it should do 4 hours on low?

2 Answers
  • A: Contrary to the answer from the Canadian Tire team, NO it cannot! The reason for this is food safety. Raw food (especially meats) should not be left out at room temperature for any length of time. This is why slow cookers are not “start time” programmable, only length of cooking time. Food can be prepared ahead of time in the crock and kept in the fridge until ready to start cooking, then placed in the slow cooker and started right away. This is even explained in the user manual that came with mine (same brand, different model). The programming method for this model is explained in the user manual which can be downloaded from the products listing page above (scroll down to “resources”), where it only refers to programming the start time.

Q: Is it normal that mine becomes so hot that I burn myself if I touch the exterior? Est-ce normal qu'elle devienne si chaude de l'extérieur qu'on puisse se bruler au touché?

Translate with Google
1 Answer
  • A: During use, the slow cooker’s metal housing will get very warm. We advise to always use oven mitts to lift out the removable crock pot after your cooking cycle, and also to use the cool touch handles found on the lid and on each side of the unit.

Q: I bought this, and have cooked twice with it. I just can’t seem to get that “plasticy” smell and taste out of the food! Any suggestion ?

1 Answer
  • A: There is no plastic component that comes in contact with the food cooking inside the bowl. The cooking bowl is made of ceramic and the lid is made of tempered glass. Please check with consumer if they removed all packaging material from between the bowl and the electrical base. Perhaps there are some pieces stuck underneath the ceramic bowl, and then giving off a stink once the unit is heating when turned on.
