Good in some ways, bad in others

I just bought this flashlight today. It has Pros and Cons which I will discuss below...
Pros:
1) The flashlight's alloy construction appears to be of good quality.
2) 300 lumens makes for a very bright light. More than adequate in most cases.
3) Easy to operate with one hand. Most manufacturers are now making their flashlights with the power button on the end. I consider this to be a disadvantage because it makes it more difficult to handle and turn the flashlight on and off with one hand. In addition, some are not completely recessed which means you can't stand the flashlight on its end if you want to work with it hands free.
This flashlight would be ideal for hiking or camping in particular because you can signal for help using its strobe feature if (Heaven forbid) you were to get lost.
Cons: Personally, the 4-mode operation is a disadvantage for two reasons:
1) There's no way to use JUST the light feature. Once you turn it on, you have to cycle through all 4 modes to turn it back off.
2) Having to cycle through all 4 of the flashlight's modes each and every time you use it will cause a LOT of wear and tear on the Power button. This will undoubtedly shorten the flashlight's lifespan significantly.
