Works extremely well and is fairly easy to install. Be aware that it will not work on circuit where each outlet is served by a single breaker (those are the ones often found in kitchens). If you are unsure the outlet will have the brass connection between the upper and lower plug removed. This is not clear on the description (at the time I purchased it) so my original location wasn’t suitable. It did work perfectly in a different room and I would recommend it.

Q: Is the USB-C port PowerDelivery, i.e. changing voltage based on the device plugged in? It only lists 3A @ 5V, but most devices can't do 3A charging @ 5V; with PD they switch to 2A @ 9V.

  • A: I can’t answer the technical specifics of your question but I can tell you I tried a iPhone in the USB-C and an Apple Watch in the USB ports and neither would charge, however I tried a small fan in the USB port and it worked.  I returned the unit.
