Q: Will the ''test'' lights go on even without a trailer plugged?

A: Yes. This tester confirms current coming from your vehicle to the point of the tester. When your trailer is plugged in, you need to visually confirm current on your trailer lights. If trailer light(s) are not working, the tester will confirm if the problem is before or after the tester.

Q: How long is the wire package I have just found out my wires are broke in the middle of my Trailer <SnowBear 4½ x 8-ft. Landscape Trailer> I want to know if this wire is long enough to go from the hook-up right to the lights, about 12 or 13'.
