    Excellent Product

Purchased Lagostina Ticino Pressure Cooker thinking that it would be another tool to use in the kitchen that we did not have. Never had one before. This is one of the best purchases ever. First thing tried was a whole chicken and boy was it juicy and tender. Fall off the bone. Followed recipe for crispy skin and it was terrific. We are raving about it to our friends. This stovetop cooker beats all electronic cookers hands down. Expensive but well worth it. Recommend it highly.

    Wouldn't Buy it Again

I wouldn't buy this product again, the rubber gasket doesn't seal after so many uses. I called the Company and was told that the product isn't meant to be used a lot (WHAT). It should say something on the product if the product can't be used a lot. They did however offered to send a replacement gasket free so I'll try it and see what happens. Goes to show you name isn't always the reason to buy something search first.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Where do you get the spare parts for less?? Lagostina pronto pressure cooker it is!!! I find lot of pressure is released and the safety value does not lock itself. I am not sure if I have to change the gasket or the safety value. Thanks for your answer in adv. PV

    • A: I know this might be an hazardous answer, but lets try this first. Anytime I do cook I increase temperature to the maximum. When valve as result goes up, other one kicks in then I reduce temperature to 4 (half) Make sure you drop bit of vegetable oil prior to cooking in and around the valve.(red one) Second solution is to gently with a fork nudge the valve. This will cause to pop up.Try this 2-3 minutes into the cooking.

Q: Does this pressure have the quick pressure release or do you need to reduce pressure under cold water?

    2 Answers
    • A: No, it does not have a quick release pressure valve. After the cooking time has lapsed, you can either wait until the pressure indicator goes down on its own once the unit has cooled or you can speed up the process by placing it in the sink and running cold water on it.
