Great Espresso coffee maker

It takes a bit of time to adjust to using this type of coffee maker. I've used French press and regular drip coffee maker but this is a new way to enjoy coffee.

Very bad product. don’t buy

The product will stain and change color and start releasing some weird blackish material that gets mixed with the water.

It worked okay for a while, but the interior quickly became stained with build-up that I couldn't get off. The filter also fell apart quickly. I contacted the manufacturer to determine where buy a replacement filter and I got no response.

I was fortunate to have received this coffee maker to test and review.
It arrived well packaged and with very simple instructions. The coffee it makes is excellent and definitely espresso style. The unit appears to be very well constructed and actually looks very good sitting on the cook top. very easy to use, we have a gas cook top which is both good and bad for this unit, the gas boils the water very quickly but the coffee pot's handle gets very hot and you need to handle with care so as not to get burned. Having said that, the coffee is so good that these small issues i can live with but would love to see them improved. The inside of the water chamber is fairly rough from the casting and not as smooth as i would like, and as I said the handle gets very hot when used on a gas cooktop so a larger handle would be nicer. over all a very good coffee maker and small enough to take anywhere. Definitely worth purchasing.

- A: Hi Annie, Yes, you can use the Lagostina Aluminum Espresso Set on a ceramic or gas stove but we recommend only using low to medium heat for either. If you are using a gas stove, also be careful not to expose the handle directly to the open flame. Thank you.8 years agoHelpful?
