Waste of money

Bought this 7 months ago. It quit removing moisture from the air last week. Display said EC. Cleaned filter, unplugged overnight, still the same empty bucket after running again. When first purchased, had to empty bucket 3 times a day. Way too small. Going back.

Unit lasted only 5 months and then just started blowing cold air. Used it 3-4 times a week for a few hours each time.

Great Dehumidifier

I bought this as I live in a basement apartment with TONS of moisture. It's worked so well for our 1200 sq ft apartment and it was so worth the money. We were pretty clueless when buying a dehumidifier, we had no idea what we were looking for. This has worked out perfectly and I would recommend it to anyone. It is quiet, which i was terribly afraid of and it doesn't make our apartment super hot like I read most would.

Q: Is it normal for hot air to come out of the air outlet grill? Seems to be counter productive Just hooked it up for the first time and I cannot change the humidity setting at all and hot air is coming out of the air outlet grill...is this normal?

A: Not sure about changing the humidity settings but hot air normally comes out of the outlet grill. This is the main difference between an air conditioner and a dehumidifier. In a AC unit the hot air is vented outside and the humidity level isn't the AC units main concern but temperature is. If you are unable to change the humidity settings then I wouldn't even bother using this unit because setting the humidity to what you are comfortable is in my opinion extremely important. I have an AC unit that doubles as a dehumidifier but it doesn't let me set the humidity, which is a deal breaker for me.
