wish it would work for more than a year

I have had two of these compact ovens. Both worked wonderfully until they just stopped working after less than a year. KitchenAid customer service has been fabulous but the product just not been able to perform.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great oven for about 2 years

My family found this countertop oven to be pretty solid while it lasted, but we were ultimately very disappointed by its short lifetime. After about 2 years it started heating only intermittently on all settings, and eventually stopped working all together. It was great while it lasted and replaced our full-sized oven for about 75% of the time, but it's totally unacceptable for a small appliance from a brand like KitchenAid (with a KitchenAid price tag) to only last 2 years. One other minor annoyance is the extremely loud clicking noise of the timer counting down on both the toast function and timed baking/broiling/warming. But I could definitely put up with that noise if the thing actually worked.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Horrible appliance

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought this item for my work space. On my second use, the element sparked and smoked making loud noises. I am now frightened to death to use it and can not locate my receipt to return it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: I have purchased 2 Kitchenaid countertop convection ovens. So far they work ok but I don’t understand why there is no convection fan that comes on like in my regular KA convection oven? Does the convection aspect even work as that is why I bought it?

1 Answer
  • A: Hi Marj, KCO223QG has an automatic Convection Bake feature on that will operate only when the Bake function is selected. The Convection Bake function will continuously circulate heat while baking. Heated air is generated and circulates heat at the desired temperature by the built-in fan. Hope this helps, thank you for your question!

Q: in the manual it's written: Warnings: this product may contain one or more chemicals known to cause cancer. what does it mean, and how to avoid it? is it safe to use the oven? I haven't seen the warning and already bought the oven.

1 Answer
  • A: The warning is a legal requirement on every product sold in the US (California's Proposition 65). Since this product is sold in both Canada and the US, we are required to have this in our literature. However, the amounts of said chemicals represent no risk for the consumer.
