These paks last, avoid the newer red/black paks

This battery pak was included with a black Jobmate 12v drill I purchased over three year ago. It keeps a charge over months and fully recharges unlike the newer red/black 18v paks I got with a 4-tool combo kit I purchased last summer. Those Jobmate 18v paks are toast even though they were used side-by-side with this older black pak.
Yes, I recommend this product.

A: You are able to purchase the battery over the telephone as they no longer have them in store. Simply call the Jobmate toll free number 1-866-562-6283 with the seven digit sku/product number of the Drill or Battery.

Q: Red light on charger goes out in few seconds after inserting battery. What is bad - battery or charger? Battery is not charging when red light is not lit. Battery CT number 54-2778-0

Q: How long the battery should be charge before the first use?

A: The Initial charge should not be any different from a regular charge. Most Mastercraft charger will shut down once the battery is charged and JobMate chargers must be disconnected from the outlet after a certain amount of hours. Please consult your owners manual for all the details & if you have any additional questions call the toll free number in your manual.
