Mostly good, but…

Great sound, but randomly shuts off after 20 minutes of use. The battery isn’t dead, I just have to turn it back on again. This has happened several times.

To reset the speaker, press and hold the play/pause and Volume + buttons for more than 2 seconds or until the speaker turns off. Once done, pair it again to your device to see if it fixes the issue. I decided to give the Clip 5 a try, and I was really surprised with the quality of sound. Very satisfied with the performance at a reasonable price, and what really sold me on the Clip 5 is the fact that you can pair it with other comparable JBL speakers.Just a suggestion! Come out with a Clip 6 just a little louder and a little more brassy. That would be great and a 5 star across the board… Great product just the same.👍

A: Thanks for your question. Yes, you can use our JBL Clip 5 in the shower. It has an IP67 rating, making it dustproof and capable of being submerged in 1m of water for 30 minutes. Please make sure that the unit is completely dry before charging it. Also, please note that the Maximum Operation Temperature of it is 45 degrees Celsius.

Q: Can the speaker stand on its own on a flat surface? Or must it be clipped to something?

A: Thanks for your question. Our JBL Clip 5 can not stand upright on its own as it doesn't have a flat surface base, it is designed to be clipped or laid flat when placed on a table.

Q: Can I use 2 of them as rear surround speakers for my LG TV of 2025 with Auracast and can they stay connected with the mains through usbc all the time?

A: Thanks for your question. Yes, our JBL Clip 5 can remain connected to a power outlet via USB‑C for charging, but while it can form a stereo pair through Auracast using the JBL Portable app, this feature only works when paired with a phone or tablet, since the app is not available for TVs. So, even though our Clip 5 can connect to your LG TV via Bluetooth, you won’t be able to stereo pair them directly through the TV.

A: Thank you for your inquiry. Bluetooth typically performs well up to about 30 feet (10 meters) in open space with a clear line of sight, provided there are no physical obstructions and minimal interference from other wireless devices.
