I originally bought this to manually start my pellet stove when the igniter quit working, this made things so much easier! It kept the pellets lit enough for the flame to stay strong while the rest of them caught. I then tested on humid wood in our outdoor firepit, and it worked like a charm, without having to resort to so much paper like I usually have to! Highly recommend the gel!
