      Failed to fit

Bar looks sturdy, but kit has plastic retainer rings which are 70mm versus the 50mm available on the door frames in the apartment. I ended uo buying a similar bar, but stronger, with 50mm metal retainer cups. Too bad it didn't fit, looked nice, but I suspect the plastic retainers are the weakest point, not to mention, they are a bit large.

No, I do not recommend this product.

THis is decently good, I use this daily and the grips are already starting to tear. It is pretty good though.

High Quality bar but improper labeling

Bought this chin up bar for my basement. It is nice and heavy, solid, and seemed like good quality until I opened the package and it says with a sticker right on the bar, weight limit 200lbs on the bar. NO WHERE on the box or packaging did it state this or I would not have bought it as that weight limit is not enough. Should of checked the CdnTire webpage first. I will be returning this. But if you are under 200lbs, this is a great product if you do not mind screwing it into your doorframe.

No, I do not recommend this product.

bought the everlast chin up bar but it didnt fit my door frame as its an older house. traded it for this which is half the price. great bar, does what its supposed to. doesnt come off the door frame very easily as you have to screw brackets in to hold it up but its not a big deal for me.

      Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: How many mounting brackets come with the bar? I bought the bar today but the packaging was damaged, so I'm not sure I have all of the required mounting brackets. There were two semi circular pieces that can join together. If I do have the required pieces, how am I supposed to install it?

      1 Answer
      • A: There're 2 sets of mounting brackets(to make one for left, the other for right) included in this product. Please see attached pictures for your reference.
