Let the Hoover FloorMate® Deluxe Hard Floor Cleaner do the washing and scrubbing for you so you get the gleaming, clean floors you want. Ideal for hardwood, vinyl, ceramic tile, laminate and marble surfaces, this machine can gently wash or give a deep scrub when needed. Clean Boost mode applies added detergent to attack stubborn stains. Wash/Dry mode sucks up water while the brushes scrub, so your floors are dry, faster.

Better Cleaner than on your hands an knees

I have had twins of these units over the years. They are very well constructed and last a long time. The scrubbing and suction power are very powerful. It is the best hard floor cleaner on the market.

my third one

it does an excellent cleaning job, but not well made and will not last long. this will be my last one. cleaning the brushes after using it is difficult

This is my second floor cleaner. I have tried others, this one works 10 times better than the others. It used more water so it feels like it is doing a good job.

Q: What cleaning solutions are compatible with the Hoover FloorMate® Deluxe Hard Floor Cleaner? Re-asking the question for clarity as the previous response appears to be recommending carpet cleaning detergents to be used on hard floors (instead of hard floor detergents).

  • A: I do not like the smell of the cleaning solution, so have been using 1/2 cup white vinegar and water. I quite like the "clean" vinegar smell, and it disappears quickly when dry.

Most likely your unit is set for Dry Mode ; this will raise the SpinScrub™ brushes off the floor. Please ensure that your Mode Selection is in Wash Mode; it will then lower the SpinScrub™ brushes to make contact with the floor for scrubbing action. The Mode Selector is right above your Clean Water/Solution Tank. For any further issues, please kindly contact customer care support line @ 1-800-944-9200. -The Hoover Customer Care Team
