Let the Hoover FloorMate® Deluxe Hard Floor Cleaner do the washing and scrubbing for you so you get the gleaming, clean floors you want. Ideal for hardwood, vinyl, ceramic tile, laminate and marble surfaces, this machine can gently wash or give a deep scrub when needed. Clean Boost mode applies added detergent to attack stubborn stains. Wash/Dry mode sucks up water while the brushes scrub, so your floors are dry, faster.

Squeezing to clean is a HUGE FAIL

So very disappointed in this new model. If I could give zero stars I would have. The design team failed miserably. This is my 4th floormate and I am returning this one. You have to squeeze a trigger for the cleaning fluid to dispense......not what I want to do for 2,500 square feet. Hoover is the only brand that has actual scrubbing bristles, all the others have a roller that doesn't get in the grout lines. I suspect they changed the design from an automatic dispense to a squeeze trigger because it leaked.... rather than FIX the problem they did so with a trigger. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT

Stops working after not being used for a few months, I have 2 and use them when I am in my different homes; however, when I try and use they are “dried up” and the water will not flow down anymore, no matter what I do

Q: What cleaning solutions are compatible with the Hoover FloorMate® Deluxe Hard Floor Cleaner? Re-asking the question for clarity as the previous response appears to be recommending carpet cleaning detergents to be used on hard floors (instead of hard floor detergents).

  • A: I do not like the smell of the cleaning solution, so have been using 1/2 cup white vinegar and water. I quite like the "clean" vinegar smell, and it disappears quickly when dry.

Most likely your unit is set for Dry Mode ; this will raise the SpinScrub™ brushes off the floor. Please ensure that your Mode Selection is in Wash Mode; it will then lower the SpinScrub™ brushes to make contact with the floor for scrubbing action. The Mode Selector is right above your Clean Water/Solution Tank. For any further issues, please kindly contact customer care support line @ 1-800-944-9200. -The Hoover Customer Care Team
