Extremely poor design

Terrible Thermostat. Consistently reads 2 to 3 degrees low from multiple external thermostats. No way to adjust or calibrate this unit. Also, the cycles per hour feature seems to not work at all. Why have a cycles per hour is the unit is just going to switch on ad off every 10 to 15 minutes anyway? Skip this thermostat and go with one that actually works and has the features you need. Who approved this terrible design?

Hi ron8376, we are sorry that you feel this way. Our thermostats use the ambient and radiant temperature for the indoor temperature display, so this reading may differ from conventional thermometers. To ensure your thermostat is displaying the correct indoor temperature, please verify there is insulation behind the thermostat wall plate, that there are no drafts within the wall, that the thermostat is not exposed to direct sunlight and that it is distanced from electronics such as TV’s and lights. Our thermostats have a -+1 degree differential. This thermostat will run your system continuously until the setpoint is reached and then will cycle to maintain it. As long as the inside temperature doesn't go below or above the setpoint, we can say that the thermostat is working properly. We will be happy to help troubleshooting and verify that everything is working as intended. Feel free to contact us at (800) 633-3991.

Frustration

Replaced our last Honeywell thermostat, bought the T5 touchscreen programmable and a year later it turns off before it reaches the desired temperature. Replaced batteries and still not getting to the temp we want. Frustrating!!

Electric furnace buyers beware. FIRE HAZARD.

*neater than my old thermostat since it can cycle air around the house WAY TOO MUCH. Works far worse as it does not keep the fan running after turning the electric elements off, potentially creating a fire hazard. After it has heat the house...the thermostat tells everything to shut off, leaving RED HOT ELEMENTS TO BURN. My old thermostat had a cycle that kept the fan running to safely bring the element temps down. I purchase some of your respiratory SAFETY equipment for my business. Well, I used to...

Touchscreen not responding

The batteries for the unit were changed, but now the touchscreen is not responding and stock in Set the Date and Time menu.Temperature stays in the one set when the batteries died.
