The grass seeds sprout after a few days. I spread them just before the rain which helps alot. They are growing well. Best to use them in spring or fall when the weather is wet and cool.

Q: What is the type of grass?

A: Most times it a turf grass. Unless it says on the bag something different that's what you will get. Also, it takes time for it to grow. I did it to mine last year and it took until late summer to see the new grass. Times of drought or not watering 40 minutes once a week will slow the growth a lot.
