The Best Heater I Have Ever Owned!
Works as advertised. The ability to detach one heater is the cats meow. Perfect for my van. Took it camping and my wife loves the fact the we both have our own heater. We sit on the couch and no longer have to share one heater! The temperature setting works well. When it turns off the room temperature shown is not correct but this is normal as residual heat from the heater raises the temperature however, that will correct itself as the heater cools down and the heater will eventually sense the correct temperature and turn on when the set temperature is reached. I wish I could afford a second one.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Hot and Cold About this Heater
The digital thermometer is a good feature, however I question it's accuracy. The auto on and off makes these a great 'set and forget it'.
This is not incredibly practical to detach the individual heater to heat different zones. They are best left together on the stand. I would worry about safety if detaching them.
One of the heaters (right side) stopped functioning after 2 months and now the left side must do all the work.
It's a great idea, and it works for the most part, but having a product not break down is also important.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Why does the temp. display show a higher temp then room is at.
I just purchased this unit. In auto mode temp set at 70 degrees. Unit turns off at 70 but temp display then jumps to 80 and unit will not turn back on.??????

A: Because the thermistor is built inside the heater, the temp display might jump up a few degree higher even the heater is off after reached the set temp due to residual heat in the heater. The heater will get back to the room temp once cool down and should continue to work in auto mode again.

Q: what's up with that?
When the heater modules turn on, they click. But I notice that they briefly turn on and then off and then on again, as though it can't get enough momentum to start on the first try. This goes on over and over. Is this normal or a did I get a dud?

A: It is the Thermostat that keeps turning on and turning off. If you have the unit set for 21 degrees and it heats up to 21 degrees it will shut off. If the room then drops in temperature it will turn back on to re-heat the area to the desired temperature. If you are getting it very close to that temperature it may turn on and off multiple times attempting to regulate the temperature.

Q: Does this product operate on batteries?
1 Answer
A: No. it does not operate on batteries. You may be thinking that a power back up (such as APC) could be used in tandem with a heater in case of a power failure (common in computer use).
The draw is too much though and a battery power back up systems cannot support any heater.
