Great Product

After the flood of July 8th 2013 our basement got a lot of water. I saw this add at Canadian Tire and was lucky to get the last one left. This product was amazing. It collected 4 full containers of water in the first 24 hours. It is realtively silent and exceeded my expectations. I don't need anything bigger as my basement is usually dry anyway so my investment was worth it. I hope this review gets to the manufacturer and if so please pass along my sincere thanks for such a great product.

Je vis dans un sous sol, et c est très humide donc mon propriétaire m a acheter celle- ci et je l aime beaucoup , ce que j apprécies c est que je peux régler a normal ou plus sec ou très sec et ma machine part toute seule, lorsque ça devient trop humide dans mon appartement . Cela fait une très bonne différence dans l appartement, moins d humidité et le voyant lumineux s allume pour indiquer qu il est temps de vider le réservoir,. Je l adores elle fonctionne bien et repond a ce que j avais besoin :)

Worked Very Well without problems!

This product worked exactly as I expected for the price paid. I feel it was good quality - it has never broken down and it stopped when the container was full of water, which it took out of the air very well.
I used it in a leaky basement and found it very helpful. Sometimes I had to empty the full container of water twice a day!
I bought it 2 years ago and is still working as it did from purchase.

Q: why when I have all the lights on, I get no water I have all the lights on and has been running for days, and still no water comes out. Could it be because it isn't damp in the basement?

A: In most cases I imagine it's because there is not enough moisture to collect. In the compartment where the water collects there is a hanging device that lets the dehumidifier know that the container is full. check to see if it's in a locked position as it's suppose to be loose. Also put a dish of water on the ground near your de-humidifier and check it in 3 hours to see if it has dried up. If it hasn't then I would take it back to the store if it is still under warrantee.

Q: What does the wrench icon on the top mean? Since I bought a floor model, #43-5434-6 and there was no instruction booklet with it I am using the dehumidifier by guessing. Any help would be appreciated.

A: I found it worked best with all the lights on and the fan on high setting.

A: Fans will run continuously in all dehumidifiers. This is to better circulate room air and the humidity sensor can more accurately detect humidity.
