The edge is well shaped but not sharpened. I took my sharpening stone to it and made it suitable for.carpentry work. Some buyers had issue with wedge. I definitely will have to pay attention to it.

Q: when will you carry a sheath that fits this axe?

A: Hi Mark; you can find a sheath online or make one yourself with a YouTube tutorial. They are simple to make from leather or a moldable plastic. I made one using cardboard from a cereal box as a pattern which I then transferred to a piece of leather. Hopefully this helps.
