Poor features
I don’t recommend buying Fresco cookers because they have a small fusible plate which doesn’t stay more than a month and its replacement is not available. Your cooker will get wasted in a month or so. Thanks
No, I do not recommend this product.

Fragile
FIRST TIME it was used: - It was fine while cooking. the weight on the top never really let much steam off (did not "whistle"). -- 3 mins. AFTER the heat was turned OFF, the fusible plate blew off. Gave us quite the scare. Online forums show this to be a common issue with this cooker.
No, I do not recommend this product.

broken locking device
I've had this pressure cooker for just over 3 months. I've never had a pressure cooker before and I love how quickly it cooks everything. However, the locking device on this handle broke and pops off all the time now. The cooker still works, but it's annoying that the piece falls off. if you get it for 1/2 price, it's still a good deal.

Q: Do you need to let steam come out of the exhaust pipe for 10 minutes before putting on the pressure regulator?

2 Answers
A: No, you put the pressure regular on before you even start the heat. Once it's up to the right pressure, the regulator will jiggle and you will hear the steam.

Q: should the pressure limit valve move constantly?
When steady vapor flows out the air exhaust tub, I put the regulator one the exhaust tube. Then, the pressure limit valve starts exhausting on and off (has constant pauses in betweens). Is it normal, or does it have a defect?

A: When the pressure is building up or rising, it's ok if a little vapour flows from the value, sides or rocker. It will stop once the pressure is achieved. If the vapour is constant when the rocker (air value# is releasing the pressure, then use the quick cool method #running it under cold water to bring down the pressure immediately or release the pressure using the release value, this depends on your cooker), check the rubber seal, if it's old or defective, replace the rubber seal, check you manufacturer for replacement parts.

Q: Is this made of stainless steel or aluminium?
2 Answers
A: Stay away from aluminum. This is why it is cheap.Any acidly food will pit the finish, and be absorbed into what you are cooking.I know this from personal experience.Stainless steel costs more, but does not impart metal into the food, and will last a lifetime.

Q: Where to find a fuse?
I bougth it recently, but the fuse is now broken. Where can I buy a fuse for it?
2 Answers
A: If you've located the fuse it will be a buss type fuse. Read the value off of the burnt out fuse, eg 5 amp @ 120 volts and just replace it with one of the exact same rating from radio shack, panasonic, any electronics supplier.

Q: what is the fuseable for?
while using the pressure cooker I found the steem it coming out the fuseable area and never coock as pressure cooker. What to do?
1 Answer
A: The fusible plate is a safety feature that opens to release pressure if the cooker exceeds its maximum threshold. Once it is worn, it needs to be replaced. Parts can either be order directly from Jascor by 514-685-3660 or service@jascor.com. Alternatively the store can order the part for as long as you have the model number.
