These bags are great because they are compostable and they keep critters out of the compost bin because of their minty fresh smell. If you compost, you definitely should get these bags

The rules for the building's green bin here require that everything be in a tied compostable bag, and these are ideal. For just one person it works well to keep a bag in the refrigerator or freezer until it's full, so no drips or odor.

Larger size?

It would be so nice to have a larger size ( 20L) to use instead of a plastic bag or kitchen catcher for kitchen waste. this size will only fit in a compost bucket. I don't see the need in a compost bucket- just rinse it after each use. Please make a larger size.

A: These bags are BPI certified as compostable and therefore accepted in Peel Region.

Q: How long does it take for these bags to composte compared to the stuff u put in them??

A: In order for the bags to be certified as compostable they must disintegrate in particles smaller than 2mm within 84 days and degrade 90% within 180 days in a municipal compost facility. All "other" stuff which you put in them have different degrees of degradation.
