Adequate for the task, frustrating to assemble

Extremely frustrating to assemble, Holes don't line up, threads aren't machined properly, it's a veritable nightmare. It's as if the manufacturer never attempted to assemble one themselves, or if they did they were lucky enough to get one that was accidentally well made. Your choices for assembling this are brute force or waiting for a particular alignment of the stars. I anticipate that Tuesdays are your best bet, but only if you spin counter-clockwise for an odd number of rotations before opening the box. Sheer force of will is a good substitute for the above process. Once assembled it's sufficient for the task of holding coats and umbrellas. I'm tempted to hang a sweater on it as well, but I'm not sure if it will void the warranty.

I like the finished product, but the holes on the bottom for the base don't line up. With a bit of brute force I got it together. The sockets for the knobs holding the top of the umbrella stand together are stiff and don't cooperate without forcing them. The "hooks" for the coats aren't absolutely straight either, and the screws don't line up exactly right. If you don't have patience - get a different kind. Good thing it was on sale or it would go back.
