We buy one on sale every year, and use it when camping with our tent trailer (as an entry step). Units always crack in the middle at some point during the 3 weeks of use, but hold out sufficiently. At the sale price, I'm happy to buy one every year, and throw it out after it cracks and camping ends.

I honestly couldn't tell you what the other consumer is talking about, unless they received a faulty product or used this step stool improperly as I am 289 pounds and have used this almost daily for 5 months and it hasn't broken.
It's a godsend for us short people, allowing us to reach those tall kitchen cabinets when the tall person we live with is out.

We have 5 of these around our house for our children to use and they are good basic step stools. We have had one break on us, but for the price you wouldn't expect them to last forever.

Best Step Stool Ever

I purchased this step stool for my kitchen, to be able to reach the spices in the cupboards above my stove that are always just out of reach. This step stool is the perfect size and stores easily out of the way under my sink. It gives me just enough height to reach anything I need, I'm looking at purchasing another for in the storage room downstairs!
