Good product

Good product, provides excellent suction for a vacuum. Easy to clean. Required a replacement battery under warranty after 2 months of use. Dyson advised a replacement battery would take 5 - 10 business days. Replacement batteries are available for purchase online. At this point I would still recommend this product but would recommend the Dyson v10.

great for a smaller place or one floor

Had one of these at the house for a while, it is perfect for doing quick jobs. We keep it in the basement and is great to avoid having to lug out the main canister Dyson and pulling down the stairs. It would be perfect for an apartment too.

Dyson V6 Origin Stick Vacuum is very light & versatile to get in tight places. It is very easy to use, & has several attachments that work well. For a cordless vacuum, it has very powerful suction & works great on carpet, floors, or upholstery. Runtime on 1 charge is about 15 minutes, which is usually enough time to complete an average clean. Its very easy to use!

This stick vacuum is probably the best vacuum we have purchased. Its light and easy to use, only one downfall is in the charge doesn't last long enough to do the entire house. So I do one floor per day.

A: Hello Marie, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson V6 and V7 cord-free machines are similar in power and performance. Both offer 100 air watts of suction power. The V6 will have run time of up to 20 minutes and the V7 up to 30 minutes. Other differences between models would be the tools that come included in the box. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

A: Hi Patti, this is Carissa with Dyson Canada. We value your interest in our V6 Origin and we are keen to advise the charging time. Once the battery is fully drained it will take 3.5 hours to recharge. Our Dyson V6 Origin features two modes of suction. A MAX mode as well or a powerful suction mode. All of our cordless units do come switched on to MAX mode out of the box. The V6 should run between 18-20 minutes in regular mode and 6 minutes in max mode. Furthermore, the V6 Origin is equipped 2 year Dyson warranty, when purchased new and from an authorized Dyson retailer. In addition to a team of experts to ensure it performs as designed. Q: Does the Dyson V6 stick vacuum scratch hardwood floors? Can you go from hardwood/tile to carpet?

A: Hi Deb, this is Carissa with Dyson Canada. We value your interested in our V6 Origin and we are keen to clarify the functions of the cleaner head. We do recommend checking the brush and wheels on the bottom of the cleaner head to make sure they are clear of debris and the wheels are spinning freely. Our V6 Origin is safe to use on hardwood floors. We do have a soft roller if you prefer. Our soft roller for bare floors only comes with the Absolute units. The Dyson cleaner heads are designed to seal to the flooring for optimal suction, they can be used on bare floors, but the soft roller works better at picking up bigger debris.
