This is an excellent product for paint prep. It removes grease wax and oil from the surface to be painted. It is not as volatile as some of the fluids such as acetone.

Q: Will this product remove the paint off of my car? I have prepping my car to use a paint touch up pen and would like to remove any wax from the area.

A: This product contains Acetone. It will REMOVE PAINT. Same thinner is used for "Touch-up" paint. It may remove Clear Coat also. You need to wear gloves when working with Acetone. It absorbs into skin and is toxic. Try something else. I am going to try Turtle Wax Bug & Tar remover now. I know Citrus oil solvents will work.

Q: Is this product safe for use on cars that are already painted?

A: No, Contains Acetone. It will remove "touch-up" paint. It may not remove Clear coat. Not recommended. Try Citrus oil solvents.

Q: Can you use this to remove car wax from plastic trim My car wash shampoo leaves my plastic trim faded looking. Can I use this to remove the wax from the trim??. If not what product can I use. Thanks In Advance

A: Yes, this should help in the removal of wax, but we can not say for certain, as we do not know the exact wax you are speaking of and probably have not tested it either.
