Good solid fabric and heavy-gauge steel supports. Can be anchored with the supplied spiral stakes, or simply by attaching weights to corners (but it must be anchored or you won't be happy - same as any of these light-weight shelters). Has survived many downpours and wind storms.

If i could give this product and others like it less than 1 star i would! Assembly of this awning was a snap! Only took about an hour with no problems encountered. The design of this product is great for windy areas ( I thought) as without walls the wind should blow right through. Kit comes with 4 screw in anchors that go into soft ground like turf with minimal effort and are good for securing the 4 corners. each leg comes with 2, 6 inch long anchors for securing each of the 8 plastic feet. these are 100% useless as they pull out of the ground with the slightest hint of a breeze. I bought a length of nylon rope and installed an additional 4 anchors in what was ultimately a failed attempt to secure this awning to the ground. I thought the awning was secure as the supplied tensioning ropes at each end were tight, as were the toggle type bungee chords used to secure the awning to the cross frames. I just got home to find the shattered remains of the awning laying amongst the bent and battered pipes that used to make up the frame. it now resembles a pile of construction debris and is now good for...well, nothing really. I really do not know how i could have made this thing more secure and am extremely disappointed in its performance - I will not be buying this type of product EVER again. An utter waste of money.
