Disappointed

Bought this and was excited that it was cordless as I cut my own hair. Turns out that it only holds a charge for about 2mins and even then it only operates at about 60%. Works well when plugged in but that's not the reason I bought this. Must be a battery issue but don't know how to replace it and don't think I should be on the hook since I've only used it twice.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Horrid charging cord

I'm embarassed to admit that I've now bought this trimmer twice. The first time the chord twisted around itself until the wires inside must have frayed and it would no longer charge. Unfortunately, this has just happened AGAIN. I bought the second one as it was a work night and I couldnt exactly go to work with half a shaved head. The most ridiculous part of the product is the fact that the charging chord is basically a power supply. I've tried leaving it plugged in for hours and the shaver literally won't power beyond a slow hum/slow shave. It needs to be plugged in to work.. if that's the case, why not use a better power supply that's built in. Incredibly disappointed with Conair and CT for carrying this product.

Trimmer fail

Had this for 1.5 months, and it quit charging and had no power anymore. Green light was showing there was power to it from the charger, but no charging happening. Worked ok before, not outstanding but decent. Power was always variable during a trim, went up and down randomly.
Returned it.

I had high hopes for this clipper. I ended up being disappointed. The clipper did not do a good job clipping my hair. On a full charge, the clipper snagged and pulled my hair. Yes, I understand my hair is thick, but my old clippers, at half the cost from another company did a better job. I wish I could give a better review, but I cannot. I wish I could return the product for an exchange, and go back to the company I had been with before. The Conair Titanium 590 did not even come with a manual. On the positive, it has many attachments.
No, I do not recommend this product.

smooth action, no jams, every part needed, easy control for length, toggle rather than electronic movement of the blade guard removes most chances of breakage,, excellent deal, have no complaints for it at all

A: Yes – this clipper can be used without the glides. Care should be taken, but using the clipper without the guide gets you the closest cut.

Q: Can I keep this clipper plugged in at all times? Will it ruin the battery? Overcharge? Etc.?

A: Dear conair590user, Thank you for reaching out to us. It is recommended you charge the appliance according to instructions for longevity of the product. If you see the product is slowing down then fully drain the battery and recharge for 16 hours for continuously and then charge again as needed. You can leave the unit on charger for extended period but do not leave it on charge always. Sincerely, -Conair Canada

A: As per the manufacturer : Always apply oil to the blades before, during and afer use. This will ensure manimum cutting performance. Hold clipper away from your body in a downward position and apply oil on the front and sides of the cutter blades. Wipe excess oil off with a soft, dry cloth.
