Command hooks are a very good choice for adding temporary places to hang items. There has been occasions though, where the paint did come away from the wall surface when the command strip was removed. It could have been one of two things. Up too long or the paint was not very good in the first place.

Q: Can this product be used on bare drywall, or will it damage it?

A: Hi! Thanks for your question! Our Command™ Brand Hooks can be used on painted smooth sufaces, stained or varnished wood, glass, tile, painted cinder block, plaster, metal, and wallboard. We don't recommend you using them on bare drywall. We hope this helps!

Q: How much weight will these hooks hold comfortably? Will it hold picture frames? If not can you recommend a similar product that can hold more weight.

A: This specific product holds up to 1/2lb. We would recommend Product #61-0403-6. Please make sure to look at the maximum weight the hooks can hold and make sure your picture frame does not exceed the weight limit.
