Q: Will this generator work in other countries, like fiji islands and Soloman islands

Q: Will this run the 6.5 ton yardworks elec log splitter
11 years agoA: No. This electric log splitter requires 15 amps to run and the start up requirement could be as much as 45 amps. This will exceed the generator's capacity.

Q: what brand of motor?
11 years agoA: It's a Rato engine. Champion does not manufacture it. It is literally the exact same Rato engine that Canadian Tire sells, with some minor modifications like the fan cover and oil level sensor. http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/rato-7-hp-ohv-horizontal-engine-0607559p.html#.U3a4dPldWK8 If you don't believe me, read the manuals for them both. The parts in the break-down drawings are exactly the same.

Q: what kind of oil should i buy for this generator? I have bought this generator, just wondering what kind of oil should i buy? I look at the shelf of oils and there is none that says 4 Stroke (which is its engine specification). thank you.
11 years agoA: The manual states 10W30. Also states 5W30 is acceptable in colder weather.

Q: Can this generator run a pump for an artesian well? When power is out we need to have something that will operate the pump in our well and a fridge and a freezer.
12 years agoA: You'll need to know the starting amperage of the appliances involved (which is considerably higher than the normal running load). Look on the labels of the fridge, freezer, and pump motor. Add the three starting amperages up and make sure that the total is less than the surge amperage of the generator.

12 years agoA: reasonably quiet with a small load but the bigger the load the noisier it gets. At full load it is quite loud
