10 years agoA: Castrol Super Outboard Motor Oil is a premium 2-cycle petroleum-based oil. Castrol Super Outboard Motor Oil is a TC-W3 rated oil and is certified by the NMMA for use in all water-cooled 2-cycle outboard engines and personal water craft, such as jet skis, where TC-W, TC-WII or TC-W3 oils are recommended. Castrol Super Outboard Motor Oil is recommended for oil injected and pre-mixed systems. It contains dye mixing reminder and may be used at fuel/oil mixing ratios up to 100:1. Castrol always recommends following the guidelines of the engine manufacturer for the recommended oil (i.e. oil rating and manufacturer specifications) specific to your application. This information can always be found in the owner’s manual or by contacting the manufacturer directly.

Q: Is it safe for use in older outboards? Would this be a good 50:1 oil for a premixed 1977 35 hp Evinrude?
